Carl is a professionally registered senior architectural technologist with a strong foundation in both architecture and urban design. He began working in the field in 2008 after completing his BTech at CPUT and has since been involved in a wide range of projects, from heritage renovations and residential work to larger urban renewal initiatives.

Over the years, he developed a growing interest in how cities function at a people-experience level, which led him to complete a Master’s in Urban Design at UCT in 2021. Carl enjoys working at the intersection of design, community, and city policy, with a focus on creating practical, inclusive public spaces. His approach is grounded in a deep appreciation for architecture and a commitment to thoughtful, context-sensitive design.

Charl vd Westhuizen is a Senior Professional Architectural Technologist with a BTech in Architecture from Cape Peninsula University of Technology. He has experience across a diverse range of project types, including residential, commercial, and educational facilities.
